Job Summary

The Pharmaceutical Technologist provides professional care within the pharmacy unit,
ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance with regulatory and
institutional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept prescriptions or refill requests and check for completeness and accuracy.
  • Record medical histories and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries.
  • Count and fill prescriptions, label medications accurately.
  • Perform inventory audits and handle procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons
    Board (PPB).
  • Monitor narcotics usage and conduct regular stock takes.
  • Identify and vet vendors, introduce new products as requested.
  • Train and mentor new staff.
Qualifications & Experience (Minimum requirements preferred)
  • Education: Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • Experience: 1–3 years in a relevant position
  • Registration: Must be licensed by the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board
    (PPB). The license should be current and not attached to any other facility.
