Dr Karen Mbaabu is a recent returnee from the UK where she has completed her 2 year fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. Prior to that, she had worked as a General Surgeon at a Private mission hospital in Nairobi. She undertook her medical training at the University of Nairobi Medical School and her postgraduate training in General Surgery at the Aga khan University Hospital, Nairobi. In addition, she has undertaken numerous clinical and non clinical courses throughout her career which have made her stand-out in her chosen field. Her current training is a one-year Surgical Leadership Post graduate Certificate course at the Harvard Medical school, Boston. Dr Mbaabu is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and affordable surgery. She is a conscientious and driven surgeon, skilful at performing a wide range of surgical procedures, expertly overseeing administrative duties, leading cutting edge and innovative surgical techniques, and cultivating rapport across diverse multi- cultural organizations and communities.
